Feeding Turtles in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka

Hikkaduwa is a touristy town on the south coast of Sri Lanka. It doesn’t have the cool surfer vibe of Mirissa and isn’t the foodies paradise like Unawatuna but it does have one thing. Turtles! Extremely tame ones at that. People have been feeding these guys the natural seaweed and sea grass that grows on a ledge just out of their reach for years making them very pleased to see you in the water. Just don’t get too close as they are still wild animals!

P.S. Sorry for the terrible film quality as conditions weren’t ideal!

Check out my post on Hikkaduwa for all of the details.
